The robotics industry in America is stronger than ever, and poised to grow faster than ever.
Accordingto the Robotics Industries Association (RIA), the North American robotics market set a new all-time record in the first half of 2016, with 14,583 robots worth $817 million ordered in the region.
“The robotics industry is thriving today as more companies of all sizes are realizing the benefits of automation,” said Jeff Burnstein, President of RIA, in a statement.
The bulk of the American robotics boom is attributed in increasing automation in theautomotive industries, food and consumer goods, inspection, assembly, spot welding, general manufacturing, and more.
The Robotic Industries Association (RIA) drives innovation, growth, and safety in manufacturing and service industries through education, promotion, and advancement of robotics, related automation technologies, and companies delivering integrated solutions.
RIA was founded in 1974 and is the only North American trade group organization specifically designed to serve the robotics industry. Members of RIA fit into several categories: robot manufacturers, users, system integrators, component suppliers, research groups, and consulting firms.
